On Methodology: After Ingredients of Encounters and Capital Formation/No Exit Nation

The studio, lifted, with walls, floor and ceiling enmeshed in repurposed fabrics, sets a stage, or a shamiana for a potential performance and audience interaction. We invited visitors to join us for reflective moments inside and feel free to respond to the prompts on offer.

Since 2019 we have been creating a collaborative series of encounters, performative gatherings and inviting audiences to partake as participants. After a series of previous iterations, the Khoj residency became a space for us to pause, gather, create and engage with new approaches to similar ingredients. The space was created to converse, sit in, relax, and forget the proximity of the city outside, while partaking in a thought expression through questions and prompts.

In newer iterations of this work, the words, drawings and phrases collected within this interaction might join the artists in their deliberations and visual conversations.
